Medicare Part D - Prescription Drug Coverage


If you have Medicare Parts A and/or B, then you are likely familiar with the Medicare program. Part D plans, another part of the program, help cover your prescription drug costs and can be purchased in addition to original Medicare or by themselves. Medicare-approved private insurers, offer Medicare Part D plans– so costs and covered drugs vary from plan to plan.

Medicare Part D works with a Medicare supplement insurance plan, or on its own. You can also get Part D benefits through some Part C plans.
